Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective option available to significantly reduce your fears and discomfort during your dental visit. It is for mild to moderate anxiety with a proven safety record. You will not need someone to escort you from the office as it is quick-acting with few side effects. Under nitrous oxide you remain conscious and able to breathe on your own. Nitrous oxide is administered along with oxygen through a small nose mask.

IV Sedation

IV sedation is extremely effective for moderate to severe anxiety. This option will require a consultation and examination visit prior to the treatment appointment. It is quick acting and the level of sedation can be adjusted during the treatment so that you remain comfortable at all times. During IV (intravenous) sedation the medications are administered into the bloodstream by the anesthesiologist to achieve a state of “deep sedation” to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Your breathing, heart rate/rhythm and blood pressure will be monitored throughout the procedure by the anesthesiologist. Once appointment has been scheduled the anesthesiologist will call you a few days before your appointment and go over your appointment guidelines requirements and any additional questions you may have.

How does Invisalign Treatment Work?

Your Invisalign® clear aligners are custom-made for you. The aligners are virtually invisible and fit snugly over your teeth.

Each aligner shifts your teeth slightly, moving them horizontally and vertically and even rotating them when needed. Your aligners are engineered to use the right amount of force in the right place at the right time. When you change to the next set of aligners (typically every week) your teeth gradually move into position, following a custom treatment plan mapped out by your doctor.
